Network Statistics Visualization

A network statistics visualization software is provided as part of Intelliguard's DPS product to allow users to have real time access to the internal network statistics collected by the DPS system. My job was to work as a member of the R&D team to implement the visualization software and integrate it with the DPS system.
The software is a Java based Web Start application hosted on the DPS box itself, a Network Administrators can launch it by a single click. The software features a typical MVC architecture, the JFreeChat library is used to generate dynamic 2D/3D charts and OpenMap is integrated to visualize Geolocation related statistics.
Online Reporting
The reporting server is an optional component of the DPS system that provides historical summary of network traffics (e.g. weekly summary of detected Denial-of-Service attacks).It is a Java/Tomcat based web system including a PostgreSQL based back-end database.
